In March 2021, ASAM connected with the Society of African and Caribbean Midwives. Both groups found they had shared visions and decided to work together on an exciting project.

Come April 2021, the two held safe space sessions for Black and Brown Midwives and Student Midwives. The sessions were well attended and proved to be insightful.

Following on from these sessions, they put together a report to compile their findings.

In January 2023, ASAM connected with British Sikh Nurses to create a collaborated conference celebrating South Asian nursing and Midwifery. This was an Inaugural event and - due to the success of this collaboration - we are planning another similar event in 2024. Take a look at the photos from the BSN X ASAM conference 2023 here.
